BLAST - Bringing Live Arts to Students and Teachers

Thank you so much to Athlone Education Centre for giving us the opportunity to participate in the wonderful BLAST programme. Our school was paired with Helen, who specialises in drama, dance and film. She worked with us for four days to introduce the pupils to the world of film making. The children learned all about the different shots that film directors use. In small groups, they prepared a story board of their film and then set about becoming actors, directors and camera

Christmas visit to Kilbeggan Library

Thank you to Ann Marie, librarian at Kilbeggan Library, who invited us to visit on 9th December. The library has been recently refurbished so the children had an opportunity to relax in the sensory spaces, browse through some Christmas books and see all the facilities available in the library. There are always lots of free activities for children from chess to Lego to art and crafts.
